Napoletana Style Pizza Sauce
In Naples, thin, round pizzas are made with fine soft wheat flour and baked in a wood-fired oven. After baking, Neapolitan pizzas are topped with fresh basil and a drizzle of fresh olive oil. We like to drizzle ours with Corto® Truly® 100% Extra Virgin Olive Oil!
Makes 12 1⁄2 cups of sauce
Ingredients:
- 1 can Alta Cucina® “Naturale” Style Plum Tomatoes
- 1 teaspoon crushed salt (or to taste)
Instructions:
- Crush Alta Cucina® in a hand mill.
- Transfer to a stainless steel bowl and add salt to taste.
- We you remove from the pizza oven drizzle with Corto® Truly® 100% Extra Virgin Olive Oil!
