St. Louis Pizza Sauce
St. Louis cracker crust dough is made with small amounts of yeast and must be rolled out to make a round pie. This sweet sauce is placed on the dough and covered with Provel cheese, a popular staple in St. Louis cuisine.
Makes 14 cups of sauce.
Ingredients:
- 1 can Tomato Magic® Ground Tomatoes
- 3 tablespoons Corto® Truly® 100% Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- ⅓ cup sugar
- 2 cups fresh basil, chopped fine
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- 2 teaspoons salt
Instructions:
Mix all ingredients in a stainless steel bowl. Enjoy your results!
