Spaghetti alla Napoletana

We like to make this delicious, traditional Southern Italian red sauce by seasoning our Pomarola® Signature Sauce Base with anchovies, fresh oregano, and sliced green olives.

Serves 6.


  • 3 cups Pomarola® Signature Sauce Base
  • 4 anchovy fillets, well-drained and ground to a paste
  • 1 teaspoon fresh oregano
  • ½ cup sliced green olives, rinsed
  • 1-½ pounds dry spaghetti, cooked al dente


  1. In a medium saucepan, heat Pomarola®; add anchovy paste and chopped oregano.
  2. Gently stir in sliced green olives and simmer for 5-7 minutes, just to blend flavors.
  3. Serve over hot, cooked spaghetti.
