Spaghetti alla Napoletana
We like to make this delicious, traditional Southern Italian red sauce by seasoning our Pomarola® Signature Sauce Base with anchovies, fresh oregano, and sliced green olives.
Serves 6.
Ingredients:
- 3 cups Pomarola® Signature Sauce Base
- 4 anchovy fillets, well-drained and ground to a paste
- 1 teaspoon fresh oregano
- ½ cup sliced green olives, rinsed
- 1-½ pounds dry spaghetti, cooked al dente
Instructions:
- In a medium saucepan, heat Pomarola®; add anchovy paste and chopped oregano.
- Gently stir in sliced green olives and simmer for 5-7 minutes, just to blend flavors.
- Serve over hot, cooked spaghetti.
